The FiberFin was developed for Plastic connectors and fiber. Where is difficult to achieve a high level of polish (2-4 micro finish) with any kind of speed.

The best connections and most reliable are when you use epoxy that when it hardens has a crown or glob on the end of the connector which takes a more time and effort along with more supplies as done in the past by sanding / polishing to terminate.

This is where the FiberFin technology of Diamond finishing really works as the FiberFin4 machines the fiber/connector to a flat / mirror finish in less than 3 seconds no matter how much of epoxy is on the end.

We use these FiberFin4 machines in our factory to finish ten’s of thousands of cables, the majority of them are the Versalink line of connectors from AVAGO Technologies

For the accountants (ROI) we use $.01-.02 cents each as a figure of finishing cost as you can finish about 10,000 plastic connectors and still maintain a 6-8 micro finish.

Then the diamond can be refinished for $125.00 and it is good for the next 10,000 terminations and the life of the diamond is about 5-10 relapp's
